Delightful hotel with central location and spotless and updated rooms. Sensational breakfast selection with such high prices and toast, well priced. In the heart of Oxford and walk from pubs and bars. Early check in and fantastic service overall. Everything good. Really great stay, as always.

Wonderful hotel with a lot of atmosphere and centrally located. We already stayed several times in this hotel for several days (also with our two teenagers) and each time it was a very nice stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant is also recommended. The rooms are clean and tastefully furnished. The narrow stairs to the rooms may not be so convenient for older people, but there are also rooms on the ground floor that lead out to a parking lot.

A nice little hotel, a lot of charm
A lot of narrow stairs. It's pretty narrow, isn't it? The restaurant is unfortunately somewhat below the "dignity" of a 5-star hotel

Very good staff, it was memorable stay.
The breakfast was superb with the extreme prices and jam, as example, worth the price.

I loved how close the University of Oxford was, just a few steps away, and enjoyed peaceful walks through the Oxford Botanic Garden, less than 2 km away and perfect for a leisurely afternoon. The staff were friendly.

Behind the old walls hides a dreamfully tastefully furnished hotel. Beautiful guest rooms, neat bathroom, excellent breakfast, best service and high tea in the garden, a dream. If you've been a guest 30 years ago, come back again!

Atmoshere is exactly right. It is relaxed yet staff are attentive and pleasant. I loved the decor in the dining room and bar area especially the oil paintings. It was nice that the fire is kept alight all year round. Staff on main desk are helpful. Fantastic location.
It is expensive. Bedroom had no vew!

I have been to Old Parsonage several times and will be back any time! This is a lovely small hotel with modern rooms in a historic house in the city center with a beautiful terrace for relaxing in the fresh air. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

great atmosphere but lacked some modern conveniences
The decor combined classic and contemporary elements beautifully. Staff provided really good service, being both friendly and informative.
Some amenities felt outdated compared to similar hotels.

This hotel has character. Ivy covers the arched entrance to the front terrace. The rooms are well kept up, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are a reasonable size (for England!). The breakfast was excellent.
Afternoon tea is very popular and gets overcrowded, with staff a bit overwhelmed and some visitors turned away for lack of room.

Restaurant very good, with one or two disappointments. There were two dud puddings during our two day stay. One at lunch - ver solid flapjack, and the other at dinner. The cider apple sorbet tasted of nothing except maybe disinfectant.
This is obviously nothing you can do about, but the traffic noise does spoil the otherwise delightful atmosphere of eating outside in the lovely weather.
